T-Shirts T-Shirts N' MoreT-Shirts...

Summertime n' the livin' is easy...

The temperature is rising as spring is moving to the warm summer months. It's time to shorten the sleeves on our t-shirts, although I like to keep a few long sleeves for those cool nights up here in the north woods.
I have some fresh designs, so browse through my gallery n' enjoy...

Family n' Friends

Well...how time flies! We are already into the week after Easter. I hope you all had a blessed Easter... I did. I love this day we celebrate the risen Christ, the promise of new life... new life in Him.
My son, Joshua, n' I had an amazing day over at some dear friends, Shawn n' Cindy. They had invited 2 other couples for the Easter meal. This meal was made from the hands of many cooks, the dishes, each a blend of succulent flavors that was oh... so-o-o-o good. I took a veggie dish mixed in n' topped off with some good Italian cheese (that my son, Todd n' his wife, Cari sent me from Italy) n' deviled eggs... it was a great hit. I was glad, as I cook intuitively n' really wasn't sure how the baked veggies would turn out.
Most of my time I spent out on the deck sitting in the warm sun; breaking the shackles of winter in the north woods. It felt so good just being with friends n' family, watching the first game of the season of bocce ball n' seeing my son (who is 6' 6") ride a mini motorcycle which they called the"Hardly Davidson". Such fun memories.

My Shoes are made for ...

Comfort n' style! I'm really into these little mini slip on Keds shoe, they're great to add a soft flare to spring/summer outfits. Of course I'm making what I'd like to wear, but I figure there has to be others who will like my designs as well. Stop back again n' again to whats new in my designs; I'm working 0n some women tie shoes that will look great with jeans or any casual wear. Then there's the children shoes... I'm having so much fun putting them together. Just click on an image and you'll be able to take a closer view and order. With spring approaching, it'd be nice to have a pair or more...

Spring is on its way!

Whether your inside doing a little spring cleaning or getting ready to pull out the grill for that first outdoor meal, it's fun to put on an original design apron to do what needs to be done.
I'm starting to make my to-do list of chores as I think oa all the cleaning that I want to do so I can enjoy my time outdoors in the fresh spring air.

Chase Away the Winter Blues...

January n' February are great months for soups, especially where the snows fall n' the temps dip to zero n' way below. A good hearty soup or stew does the body wonders; for me it seeps into the very fibers of my being and I'm left with a sense of wellness .

Today I'm making a potato soup with veggies n' since I'm an intuitive cook I don't use a recipe and I usually make them from scratch such as peel the potatoes n' onion. I like cooking in a large, deep cast iron pot, where the soup
is being infused with iron as it simmers ... a good mineral for the body.

Now I'm not quite as old (coming close to it though) as Clara n' I love her videos. She is a 91 year old cook and great grandmother, Clara, recounts her childhood during the Great Depression as she prepares meals from the era. Learn how to make simple yet delicious dishes while listening to stories from the Depression.

Blessed Minnesota

On the sixth day God turned to the Archangel Gabriel and said: 'Today, I am going to create a land called Minnesota. It will be a land of outstanding natural beauty; a land of 10,000 beautiful lakes full of fish. It shall have tall trees, flowing rivers, landscapes full of flowers, tall grass, beautiful blue skies, majestic eagles, forests full of many kinds of wildlife, rich farmland and wonderful people.
' God continued, 'I shall make the land rich in
resources so as to make the inhabitants prosper and they shall be known as friendly people who practice being 'Minnesota Nice' every day.'
But Lord,' asked Gabriel, 'don't you think you are being too generous to these Minnesotans?'

'Not really,' replied God 'just wait and see the winters I am going to give them.'

I really got a chuckle out of this n' know we do get our fair share of winter weather, but this year I believe the east coast and even the west coast
had a wee bit more then we have. I have to remember that this is only the 23rd of January...winter's not over!

This weekend our area is having an annual ice fishing tournament... with a prize of $150,000. Gull Lake is full of ice houses, all fisher people are ready for a big day tomorrow...hoping they'll catch that big one!

Thanks Brainerd Jaycees n' youtube...

Have a fun day...
